Open gay, I will be you think,

For in the closet you are as in links,

You cannot tell who you are,

And not tell you who you love.

Being open is to accept who you are,

And not hide it from anyone here,

It must be a part of your identity,

Then without concern be with your loved one.

*

Accept of yourself is to be an open gay,

And it is this that is your weapon,

It gives you the courage and strength to be and to see,

That you of other people's prejudices can laugh.

Believe in yourself, you must do,

Yes see that can be done,

Then you will get confidence,

So you can stand forward.

Have faith in the person you are,

It does not make you weird,

You are a man like the rest of us,

And no one can blame you.

This poem is a translation of my poem called Åpen homo, and it's in English titled Open gay.An open  gay is a homo who is open about being gay, and being in the closet is an expression used to refer to gays who hide their orientation.
